  • Oils such as flaxseed oil, primrose oil and salmon oil contain healthy fats that can improve the texture of hair. These oils also penetrate the scalp and regenerate the root of hair.


  • B vitamins in the B-complex family such as B-3, B-5, B-6 and B-12 are important to the health and growth of the hair. B vitamins are also correlated with making hair thicker, fuller and healthier.


  • Often referred to as the “hair growth vitamin,” biotin is a popular vitamin for hair health. Biotin is a water-soluble vitamin that produces keratin, which is renowned for increasing growth and protecting the hair against dryness.

I have had quite a few people ask me what vitamins I take to supplement being a vegetarian. To be honest, I’m not taking many vitamins at all, at least not for my eating habits.

Biotin, Folic Acid & B12: skin, nails, hair and energy. I have seen the improvements over the past few years and would recommend it to anyone interested in fast and healthy hair/nail growth. (I also highly suggest a better diet and lifestyle). I also have a daily intake of Vitamin D, because I am personally deficient. Calcium and Iron, when I remember.
