ix-i-xcvi asked: Hi, I'm a junior in college and looking into art schools. I often see LCAD on your blog. What is your affiliation to the school? Would you recommend it for a student looking into art, but unsure what specific type of art they art interested in? Thank you so much in advance.

i graduated laguna college of art + design in 2010 as a drawing & painting major. i’ve worked here since 2008 in various departments; development, admissions, academic affairs and currently residence hall manager & student services coordinator.  i would recommend lcad for all things art. we currently have five majors (drawing & painting, illiustration, game art, graphic design and animation) with a few minors (sculpture, art history etc.) if you happen to live locally to the college we do offer a $300 10 week portfolio development program, which is a great opportunity to explore our majors and your options. for more information i would inquire with admissions at lcad.edu.
